If you’re a Bourbonnais or Kankakee driver who is in the market for a family minivan with superior style and handling, you won’t have to wait much longer. It’s already known that Chrysler is bringing all-wheel drive to the newly redesigned 2021 Pacifica, however for drivers in need of an upgrade sooner, there’s some good news. The 2020 model is also getting an all-wheel-drive version called the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica AWD Launch Edition, and it’s coming very soon.

Why is All-Wheel-Drive Coming to the 2020 Pacifica?

All-wheel-drive was already announced to be coming to the upcoming redesigned 2021 Pacifica, so why has Chrysler made this decision? According to Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America, fan reaction to the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica’s introduction of all-wheel-drive was “overwhelmingly positive” and that bringing this feature to the 2020 model year “allows us to get our customers the all-weather capability they want even sooner."

What Are the Benefits of the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica AWD Launch Edition?

The presence of all-wheel drive is set to take the Chrysler Pacifica to the next level. Its AWD system is dynamic, allowing it to sense driving situations when using all four wheels isn’t necessary and automatically stops the drive shaft from spinning, helping to conserve fuel.

How Can You Get the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica AWD Launch Edition?

The 2020 all-wheel drive model is set to be an exclusive model for the Touring L trim level. It will serve as an alternative to the front-wheel drive model and will be the only vehicle in its class to pair all-wheel drive with the class-exclusive Stow N’ Go seating.

The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica AWD Launch Edition is set to arrive at Pearl Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Peotone sometime in the third quarter of 2020. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
