The Ram 1500 is available to Kankakee drivers in quad-cab and crew-cab configurations with a 6-foot-4-inch long bed or a 5-foot-7-inch short bed. Three engines are available to provide motivation.

• 3.6-liter V-6: The standard engine produces 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. When properly equipped, the base engine enables a max tow rating of 7,620 pounds.

 
• 5.7-liter V-8: The second engine boosts output to 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard on Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited, and is available on supporting trims. When properly equipped, a V-8 Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,570 pounds.

 
• 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6: Available as an option on all trims, the EcoDiesel V-6 improves both power and efficiency. Generating 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque, in enables a max tow rating of 12,560 pounds and achieves an EPA-estimated 32 mpg on the highway.

Ram Heavy Duty trucks are available in regular cab, crew cab, and Mega cab configurations. The regular cab comes with an 8-foot bed, and the Mega cab comes with a 6-foot-4-inch bed. The crew cab offers both bed options. Both the RAM 2500 and 3500 offer five primary trims - Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited - and the RAM 2500 also offers the off-road-focused Power Wagon trim.
