Brunch is always a favorite way to celebrate the start to the weekend; or any day, for that matter. And Peotone, IL has what you’re looking for when going out with the family or friends for a mid-morning meal. We’ve put together a few of our favorite brunch places, listed below.

1. Corner Cafe

Located at 102 N 2nd St., this cafe serves all of your traditional favorites. Choose from eggs, hearty omelets, French toast, and crepes, plus sandwiches, burgers, croissants, and much more. Start off by having a cup of fresh coffee or tea before ordering the Gypsy skillet, the veggie benedict, the fried egg sandwich, the Greek omelet, a ham and Swiss cheese croissant sandwich, or a BLT.

If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, they offer lighter-fare options, like the hamburger patty or broiled chicken breast. Enjoy a great meal here any morning of the week except Mondays.

2. Yannis Cafe

Find anything your heart desires here at Yannis Cafe, which has served fresh, home-cooked meals for nearly 30 years. We suggest the Palestine crepes,  the Georgian pecan Belgium waffle, the pancake sandwich, the chef’s scramble, or one of the many omelets and skillets. Other great options include the chicken ranch melt, the chicken breast supreme salad, the Philly beef croissant, or a cup of homemade soup.

The restaurant is located just a few miles out of town at 145 N Main St. in Manteno. Yannis is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and weekends from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

3. Brian’s Place

This unassuming eatery serves an array of dishes, from omelets to skillets, French toast to biscuits, and burgers to wraps. We love their country-fried steak, vegetarian omelet, biscuits and housemade gravy, the spinach eggs benedict, and the pork tenderloin skillet. If you prefer something more lunch-related, try the Monee bleu cheeseburger, the bacon cheeseburger, the steak wrap, or the turkey, bacon, and cheese panini.

They also have several options for the little ones, like the Mickey Mouse pancakes, the bambino spaghetti, the mini-meal with fries, the chicken tenders, and the bonzoburger with fries. You can find Brian’s just outside of town at 25665 S Governors Hwy. in Monee. Their hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
