Three of the Best Barbecue Joints You Can Drive to From Peotone, IL

Some days, nothing but the best barbecue will do. When you’re on the lookout for great roasted meats here in Peotone, IL, we have a few suggestions of where to take your friends after work in your hardworking Dodge RAM to refuel and relax.

Fire Pit Bar & Grill

Keep it local at this delicious spot at 306 S. Harlem Ave. They are open from 11 AM until 2 PM. Almost every day of the week. They are closed on Wednesdays, and be aware that on Sundays, they close at 1 AM. Naturally, they’ve got great drinks in a nice atmosphere, and if you choose to drink, please do so responsibly and never drink and drive.

However, the barbecue is one of the main reasons we come here. We really enjoy their Brisky Burger, which is a burger topped with her pulled beef, brisket, and onion straws with white cheddar cheese. Their homemade mac & cheese balls are also incredible, and they make some great nachos with homemade potato chips and their own pulled brisket. For a bigger meal, try their Bon Fire Brisket, the brown sugar pork chop, and the meatloaf cake, which is topped with their homemade BBQ sauce.

Terrell’s Eat the Bone

If you’re up for a little drive, head north to 25655 S Governor’s Hwy. Terrell’s is open from 11 AM until 8 PM, but only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This is a fabulous spot for good food with great service and delicious homemade sauces. It can get really busy, though, so get there earlier if you want to dine in.

Everything here is so good that it’s very difficult to tell you exactly what you should order. The rib tips are fantastic, and you can’t go wrong, of course, with a full baby back rib order. We also love the smokestack, which is there a smoked brisket with a spicy beef link and onions, fries, and coleslaw. They also do great turkey and chicken, fantastic mac & cheese, and a delicious brisket chili.

Head south to 665 N Convent St in Bourbonnais if you want fantastic ribs and sandwiches from people who know and love what they’re doing. You’ll find them open from 11 AM until 8:30 PM every day except Sunday. Expect this to be a little more expensive, but you’re getting really quality food that is carefully prepared well.

The ribs are famous and a must-try. You can also get brisket, turkey breast, sausages, rib tips, and pulled pork by the pound. The smoke chicken is fantastic, two.
